We will be doing a send-off parade for the Lady Warriors Basketball team tomorrow. I will post more information as we get more details on their departure. Let’s support our ladies as they work to earn a state title!
The Lady Warriors play Lookeba-Sickles at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Big House. (A complete bracket can be found at http://www.ossaa.net/docs/2020-21/Basketball/BK_2020-21_BStateBrackets.pdf?id=29) Tuesday, March 2nd, will be a distance learning day for Webbers Falls students. A link to purchase tickets will be posted later this evening.
This year, only 2,128 tickets will be sold for each state tournament game. Each team that qualified for the State Tournament was guaranteed 300 tickets to ensure that players and coaches could have their families present. Our players and coaches received the link to these tickets earlier this evening. We are now releasing this link to the public. We have no idea how many of the 300 tickets remain. Here is the link: https://www.etix.com/ticket/c/93914F6E737EC8BC79275BBD0398053E/ossaa-basketball-championships-class-b-girls. The exclusive password for WEBBER FALLS Girls Basketball fans to enter in order to purchase up to 4 tickets is: 75213. If you are unable to get one with this link, go to www.okstatefair.com at 9:00 a.m. in the morning to purchase one of the remaining general admission tickets. It is also important to note that the wearing of face masks is going to be strongly enforced by the OSSAA. Even coaches and players on the bench must wear face masks. If you remove your face mask during the game, you may be asked to leave.
Lady Warriors punch their ticket to the Big House. Congratulations to all the girls and Coaches, what a gutsy week these girls had. We are so proud of you. As soon as we know the tournament schedule we will post it.

Due to snow accumulations and hazardous road conditions, Webbers Falls Schools students will participate in distance learning Thursday, February 18th, and Friday, February 19th. Students are required to check in with their teachers on Google Classroom to receive instruction on daily assignments and for attendance purposes. The plan is to return to on-site instruction on Monday, February 22nd. Remember that Wednesday, February 24th, is now an on-site instruction day and not a distance learning day. School will still be out Thursday, February 25th, and Friday, February 26th, for Ag Days.
Cherokee Nation Foundation is offering a free virtual ACT Boot Camp on Saturday, March 27, for Native American students preparing for the national exam. The course begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs through 12:30 p.m. Deadline for registration is Feb. 26 and books will be mailed directly to participating students.
The application is online and can be found at https://www.cherokeenationfoundation.org/college-prep/virtual-boot-camp
There will be no school for Webbers Falls Schools students on Tuesday, February 16th, and Wednesday, February 17th. These days have been declared “snow days,” and students will not be required to participate in distance learning on these days. The administrative staff is monitoring the ongoing weather situation and will announce at a later time whether Thursday, February 18th, and Friday, February 19th will be distance learning or on-site instruction. The previously scheduled virtual day for Wednesday, February 24th, will now be an on-site instructional day. Stay safe and warm!
