The MS and HS Super Smash Bros teams traveled to OKC today for a competition. The HS had some really tough opponents and were able to get a couple of match wins, but ended up getting knocked out of the tournament. The MS team had an excellent day. Lareena, River, Asher, and Chandler were able to rack up several wins which will help them as they work towards qualifying for the state championship at the end of the semester. Chandler and Asher ended up in today's championship game, and after a hard fought battle, Chandler was able to secure 1st place. Great job to all that played today.
The Academic Team traveled to Vian on Monday. They won all three games and scored over 500 points! Top scorers were Sophie Hodges, Rody Maxwell, and Catelynn Long. Congratulations Warriors.
Got up early to run at North Rock Creek. 5/9 set new PRs. Cheyanne Herrier earned a 5th place medal and Aidden Pendland is the Champion of the week shaving 1:51 off his mile time! A special thanks to the Herrier’s for our new custom cooler and to Evelyn Rainey for 2 cases of water.
The Middle School eSports team had a lot of fun competing this morning. They came up a little short in their matches, but are looking forward to coming back stronger for next months tournament. This was a new experience for most of them playing the games they are used to playing, but having to adhere to competition rules. Proud of the effort they put in.
Congrats to our Students of the Month for August! (Not pictured: Brooklyn Johnson and Jesse Standifer)
