Webbers Falls Public Schools

Today, several Webbers Falls teachers made a trip to Alice Robertson School in Muskogee. Because of the generosity of Muskogee Public Schools, we were able to load three trailers, two trucks, and one Suburban full of school furniture items. We plan to make another trip next week to get the rest. I want to thank Eric Wells of MPS for making this generous donation possible. I will get some pictures of the items when they are placed in our new classrooms. Go Roughers!

Denisse Ramos & Paula Thompson delivered a nice load of school supplies today on behalf of Ramos TaeKwonDo of Tahlequah. The school supplies were donated by their students. Thank you for your generosity!

Yesterday evening we received a special delivery all the way from Louisiana. UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) sent 336 school kits for Webbers Falls students. United Methodist churches throughout the world donated supplies and made the bags for the school kits we received. The bags and supplies are assembled and inspected at UMCOR's Sager-Brown headquarters in Baldwin, Louisiana. The local United Methodist Women of Warner were instrumental in getting our students these bags and supplies, and they are very excited to see them go to their neighboring students in Webbers Falls. Some of these women were present to help us unload - Rose Olson, Belinda Wallis, and Linda Sparks. We also had a group of WF staff and family who helped us receive this generous donation.

Any students 1st-6th grade wanting to play youth league football this year are welcome to play with Porum. Please contact Pam Robinson 918-652-5059

NOTICE TO WEBBERS FALLS STUDENTS & PARENTS: We have changed our pre-enrollment dates to Friday August 23rd, and Monday & Tuesday, August 26th & 27th. The time will still be 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each of these days. We need a couple more days to get our classrooms and offices ready. Thank you for your patience.

I received Amazon gift packages today from Clarissa Brandwine of Virginia. She has purchased numerous gift items for our school over the summer. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.

Webbers Falls Fast Pitch Softball Coach Stefanie Norman made a trip to Bixby this evening to pick up a picnic table donated by Paul Heimburger. This table will be placed in front of our cafeteria. Thanks!

Mindy, Rose, & Ali also made a trip to Wainwright School this morning to pick up some furniture donations. Thank you, Mr. Ogden, for reaching out to us and making this happen.

Another group of Webbers Falls teachers - Rose Olson, Ali Sanders, & Mindy Jarrard - picked up the backpacks & school supplies that ORSNASCO in Muskogee donated for our students in K-3rd grade. On behalf of our students and staff, I want to express our gratitude to Jamie Stout and ORSNASCO for this wonderful donation.

Webbers Falls Teachers, Misty Ruckman, Kaye Potts, & Bob Beutelschies made a trip to Tulsa today and picked up a truck and trailer load of office furniture donated by the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma Chapter. We want to send out a special thanks to Peggy & Debbie for making this happen.

Central Public Schools sent us some Algebra II books Sunday. They were delivered by some good-looking Webbers Falls Warriors - Luke Pierce, Jake Chambers, Daylan Jarrard, Riley Ogg, & Dylan Young. Thank you!

Chad Smith & Sib Wolfe of Maryetta Public Schools dropped off a Suburban load of text books and other resources for our teachers.Thank you, gentlemen, we appreciate your help and support. I also want to send out a thanks to Principal Chad Harp and the rest of the Maryetta staff for sending these items our way.

I wanted to send out a thanks to Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta for dropping off some school supplies for us at the Falls Building last week. Sorry no one was there when you came by. Thank you for your generosity.

Coach Norman has shared the Gore Fastpitch Tournament bracket for this weekend, August 15 - 17.

Tonight, Tuesday, August 13th, the time of the Fastpitch game at Gore tonight has been changed to 6:00 p.m. Varisity will play first followed by the JV. Please come to support the Lady Warriors. WARRIOR PRIDE!!!

Representatives from the Cherokee Nation made a second trip to Webbers Falls today, this time with a truck load of school and office supplies. Chief Bill John Baker and other Cherokee officials & colleagues presented school administration with this generous donation. We had a hard-working crew who helped unload this truckload of supplies. What a donation!! Thank you, Cherokee Nation, for your continued support.

Mrs. Ali Sanders returned to her old stomping ground today to pick up some book sets for our teachers & students. Formerly Ben Franklin STEM Academy in Muskogee, the facility will now be home to the Muskogee 7th & 8th Academy. We were welcomed today by Site Principal Mr. Ryan Buell and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Kim J. Dyce. We loaded a dozen or more boxes of novel sets for our language arts teachers. This was all made possible by the 7th & 8th Academy Librarian Julie Crank. Thank you, Muskogee Public Schools. You have helped us tremendously this summer.

Cleveland Public School Teacher Kelly Callahan brought a Suburban load of school supplies and teaching resources for our students & teachers today. Assisting her with the delivery were her husband Jason, and children Jasper & Kai. Thank you for making this long trip to help fellow educators & students. You brought some amazing items!

The Cherokee Nation, represented by Joe Byrd, E.O. Smith, & Jody Ree, presented Dr. Swearingen with a $5,000 check to assist in the reconstruction of our school. The Cherokee Nation has always been (and continues to be) a proud supporter of Webbers Falls School. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.
