The Vacation Bible School children of Keys Baptist Church collected $1,000 to support our school. What a blessing the Webbers Falls staff received last night. The Ballard family provided our staff with a meal featuring Thomas' green chili and rice served with fresh salsa, chips, and chocolate sheath cake. Yummm! Mrs.Leanne Ballard brought more teaching supplies from the teachers of Pryor Schools. Thank you Ballard family and Pryor Public Schools teachers. We are thankful. We are blessed.
Webbers Falls Schools is postponing the start date of the school year to Monday, September 9th. We are sorry for the inconvenience but have several things that must be completed before we can open our doors for student occupancy. Thank you for your understanding.

We received a tasty donation today in the form of bread pudding prepared by Kim Barnes. Linda Paxton had won the bread pudding in a fundraiser organized by the Gore Chamber of Commerce. Linda donated it to our staff. Connie Foster & Ruth Kirk delivered it and also spent some time assisting Mrs. Potts in our library. Thanks to all those involved!
We received our second load of student desks from Connors State College today. They sent along several men to assist our staff in unloading them. We want to thank Mike Jackson for coordinating this donation. Some of these desks we received from Connors were placed in Mrs. Trennepohl's classroom. Looking good!
David Wilson of the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference of the United Methodist Church presented Superintendent Dr. Dixie Swearingen a check for $5,000 to assist in our flood recovery efforts. Thank you so much!

Today we received a load of cafeteria tables and student chairs from staff at Woodall Elementary School. The donation was organized by Superintendent Linda Clinkenbeard. The tables were very nice and went directly into our cafeteria. They plan to bring another load later this week. Thank you fellow educators!
Yesterday, Claire from Gore Gambino's delivered 216 backpacks and several boxes of school supplies for Webbers Falls Students. Cindy Irwin, owner of Gore Gambino's, organized the "fill a back pack" drive and offered free large pizzas to patrons who donated supplies. Gambino's Pizza Corporate in Topeka, Kansas, donated the back packs. This is truly a blessing for our school and our students. Thank you so much!
WFS teachers got a surprise delivery today in the form of gift cards for Dollar Tree & Dollar General. Connie Foster delivered the cards on behalf of Cookson United Methodist Church. They have been raising money this summer to help our teachers. Each full-time teacher received $45 in gift cards. What a kind and generous gesture, thank you!
Clifton "Ro Ho" Smith and Gene "Frosty" Foster of the Muskogee Bedouin Shrine Temple dropped by the school today and delivered a check for $3,117. The Shriners raised the money through a barbecue fundraiser. Thank you so much for your support!
On Friday, Caleb, Amy, Charlee, & Kendrick Swearingen delivered a load of book sets from Weatherford Public Schools. We appreciate their assistance in getting the books to us, and we also want to thank Principal Robyn Randol for her efforts organizing the donation.
Congratulations to Mr. Bill Stricklin who was honored today as an Oklahoma All State School Board Member by OSSBA. He was one of five who was recognized from all public school districts across the state.
