It appears that our "District Teacher of the Year" can do much more than teach math. Thanks for weed-eating at the sports complex today, Mrs. Johnson. You're Awesome!
I wanted to recognize a couple of volunteers who helped us out today in the extreme heat: Claudia Fonseca helped pull corn stalks out of the fences, and Diana Maxwell helped remove debris from our tennis courts. We received more donations from our Amazon Wish List yesterday. We received generous gifts from Ronna G. Banks (again), Sharon L. Pratt and Gary Pratt (WF Class of 1961). Thank you! Also, I have fixed the shipping issue that some were facing on a few of the items. All items should now ship without complication. I will be posting donors' names as I receive the packages. I do not know who a donor is until I see the packing information that reveals who the gift is from. So if you have purchased items, and I have not listed your name, it just means the items have not been received. Every donation will be recognized.
We received ten boxes of donations from Amazon today. There were so many amazing items that our teachers and students will use! Thank you to following individuals who delivered our first "Christmas in July" with their generous gifts: Ronna G. Banks, Kim Howerton, Kristina Jones, Deborah Pitts Felder (Class of 1972), and Donna Maloy Woods (Class of 1978). Others who would like to support can still go to http://a.co/3FU2aJT to purchase items from Amazon that will be shipped directly to our school. There are items starting at less than $5, and no gift is too small. Thanks to everyone who has helped us with our flood relief over the last month.
