Feeling blessed. Thank you for purchasing supplies from our "Wish list" on Amazon.
Today was a busy day for many of our high school athletes. They cleaned a layer of river mud and debris off of our tennis court playground area, as well as completing some other much-needed tasks. They were supervised and assisted by Coach Ward, Coach Stefanie Norman, Judy Treadwell, Ralph Carter, Jennifer Hall, Claudia Fonseca, and Mr. Wyatt. Mr. Hicks helped out with weed-eating. Nice work everyone!
Due to popular request, I have created an Amazon Wish List on behalf of the Teachers of Webbers Falls Schools. If you know of a business, organization, or individual who wants to help out, please share this link: http://a.co/3FU2aJT. There are items of every price range. Purchased items will be shipped to Webbers Falls Schools. Thank you.
The Regular Board Meetings for July and August will be located in the Board Office of the Webbers Falls Municipal Complex, 417 Highway 100, Webbers Falls. The meeting will begin at 7 PM. Thursday, July 11, 2019 and Monday, August 12, 2019.
The coaches at Webbers Falls Schools are asking all high school athletes (all sports, grades 9-12) to help clean and work at the school on Tuesday (7/9) and Wednesday (7/10). Report to the pavilion at 9:00 a.m. If possible bring/wear gloves and use sunscreen and insect repellent. If you can bring and operate a weed eater that would be great! (Parents are welcome to help out too.)
I forgot to add Ali Morton to the list of WF Staff who assisted on Friday. Ali is the one who had secured the donations from Ben Franklin and Bartlesville. She had to leave early Friday because she had some big plans later that day. Let's just say we will be calling her Mrs. Sanders next year instead of Ms. Morton. Congratulations to Ali & Jake.
Friday, June 28th, several members of the WF faculty helped unload and sort out five different loads of donations. They included library books, posters and bulletin board decor, teaching resources, and general supplies for both students and teachers. The first two loads were from Ben Franklin in Muskogee and Bartlesville. The next three were from Shirley Shamblin of Vian (library books from Hilldale MS & HS), Jennifer Crumby of Shiloh Christian School in Tahelquah, and Stephanie Payne from Irving in Muskogee. On Thursday, we picked up a Suburban full of supplies from Mission Owasso. WF Staff assisting in the unloading and sorting of these items on Thursday and Friday were Lori Meni, Rose Olson, Dana Crumpler, Mindy Jarrard, Mariah Hogan, Jerry Ward, and Lisa Ward.
We want to send out a special thanks to POE (Professional Oklahoma Educators) for their special delivery of school furniture today. We received 30 chairs, 14 file cabinets, 3 wooden teacher desks, 8 short cabinets on rollers, 3 x-large bookshelves, 2 medium bookshelves, 5 assorted rectangular tables, a padded bench, and some misc. supplies. It was an entire truckload! After leaving WF, the POE trucks headed to Moffet School to deliver similar items. Thank you POE for assisting your teachers and schools in need. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Correction: It should be "Edmentum" instead of "Ementum" in the previous post.
Not only are we getting a lot of volunteer labor, we have also been blessed with numerous offers of donations from surrounding schools. Today we picked up a load of desks, file cabinets, and lockers from Owasso Preparatory Academy (See Picture). We have also received offers of donations from teachers or school administrators from Haileyville, McAlester, Woodall, Tulsa, Vian, Gore, Cascia Hall, Shiloh Christian School in Tahlequah, Muskogee, Tahlequah, and Oktaha - just to name a few. Every day brings another donation or act of kindness. An oil company in Tulsa has donated thousands of dollars in office equipment. Ementum Educational Software has pledged an entire year of online curriculum worth thousands of dollars. POE (Professional Oklahoma Educators) is delivering $1,000 in supplies next week. Braggs HS Class of 1967 donated $550. There are too many donations to name at one time, but every gift, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
I want to send a special thanks out to Jeff & Teri Oliver and their co-workers and students at Eufaula Schools. They gave us two full days of extremely hard labor. It would be impossible to compile a list of the volunteers who have helped us over the last few weeks, but we do appreciate everyone's help. Members of the Mormon Church have helped us tremendously as well. Madrienna Rorex has provided food multiple times. Hopefully at some point we can release a complete list. Thank you, and keep coming. We still need all the help we can get.
Volunteers needed this afternoon to help load these items into dumpster. Thanks!
